Guided Walks

Join us on one of our regular guided walks or book a guide for a private outing.

We hold regular group walks in the Peak District and South Pennine regions. Discover the history, culture and people of Saddleworth, the Peak District and South Pennines on our regular guided Discovery Walks. Each walk is led by Chris Maylor, an experienced guide and author of several guidebooks including the locally acclaimed Saddleworth Discovery Walks and best selling Dark Peak Challenges.

We offer an exciting calendar of guided day walks throughout the beautiful and dramatic landscapes of the Peak District and South Pennines. With a wealth of interesting routes available, we can cater for all fitness levels and abilities and can even offer bespoke walks to those wanting to explore a particular area or engage in a challenging outing.

For those looking for something even more challenging, why not take part in one of our guided, long distance challenge walks or enjoy a micro-adventure on an overnight, guided wild camping trip.

Our group walks are social gatherings, not guided events and everyone participates at their own risk. All participants must have the ability to move over rough, steep terrain and have the necessary footwear, clothing and equipment suitable for crossing moorland and mountainous terrain, and be medically and physically capable of completing the walks.

Everyone must wear suitable footwear and clothing, carry full waterproof body cover and additional warm clothing depending on the conditions. You must also carry a fully charged torch with spare batteries, and a working, fully charged, mobile phone. As this isn’t a formal event, but a social gathering, there is no insurance cover in place. It is up to those taking part to ensure they have personal and property liability insurance, if felt required.
